Coron Island, Palawan, Philippines I can think of few things as joyous as boating around islands in the Philippines while indulging in fresh fish and crab on gorgeous private beaches. Our boat driver doubled as crab chef, and as soon as we docked, he got started preparing lunch!

Location: Mayoyao, Philippines While hiking through the remote Mayoyao rice terraces in Ifugao, Philippines, I was able to hang out for a few moments with these kids. Despite their young age they already had a mature knowledge of rice cultivation; rice in these parts of the world is a lifeline.
