A quick overview of affiliate links

Hey, it’s Mark Wiens here!

What is an affiliate link? An affiliate link is a link on a website that refers to a product or service, and if a customers makes a purchase, a referral commission is given.

To put this into practical terms on my website, I’ll give you an example:

I take photos and videos, and a camera is one of the tools I use everyday. On my resources page, I recommend the camera I use because I really like it. If you were to purchase the camera through the link on my resources page, at no extra cost to you, I would receive a commission for my referral.

But here’s the most important thing: I only recommend things I personally stand behind and use or have used myself. So the affiliate links on Migrationology.com are like a curated list of things I use and approve.

Throughout my blog I have included affiliate links to products, services, and hotels that I recommend. Being an affiliate helps me to earn money to continue to provide helpful food and travel tips on my blog.

If you have any questions about affiliates and products I recommend, don’t hesitate to contact me on my contact page.

Thank you and hope you’re having a great day!

Mark
