Thank You for watching!

While I don’t often eat too many Thai desserts, few things are more refreshing on a hot day than a bowl of Thai shaved ice known as “nam kang sai.”

In this video, I head over to a Bangkok neighborhood spot to get a delicious shaved ice treat that begins with a mix of candied ingredients, topped with a spoon of crushed ice, and drowned in creamy coconut milk – it’s sweet and refreshing!

I think just about every Asian country has their own shaved ice variation. Do you have a favorite?

Reminds me of our very own ‘Halo-Halo’ here in the Philippines 😀 Were you able to try it when you were here?

Yes! Very similar and probably with similar origins. I had halo halo a number of times from a fast food restaurant, was it Jollibee?… I can’t fully remember where, but I really enjoyed the Filipino version too!
