One of the most popular sweets in all of India is something known as a jalebi.

It begins with a batter that’s funneled into hot oil in unique swirl shapes. After turning golden brown, the jalebis are transferred to a thick syrup flavored with rose water, and allowed to be saturated with sweetness.

Old and Famous Jalebi Wala in Old Delhi, India, is one of the most famous places in all of India for this sweet treat!
