Thank you for watching!

Along with Thai boat noodles and tom yum noodles, yen ta fo, or Thai pink noodle soup, is one of the most popular soup noodles.

The broth is made undeniably rosy in color from the unique fermented bean paste used in the broth.

In today’s episode, I head over to a long standing Yen Ta Fo (เย็นตาโฟ) restaurant in Bangkok’s old district.

I’ve seen this around and I’ve always thought the pink coloring is from pork blood (which really won’t disgust me not the least bit). good to know it’s from bean paste. and like you, the wide rice noodles aren’t my favorite so I’ve never had this. Next time, I guess.
