Lovina Sunset, Bali, Indonesia

Location: Lovina, Bali, Indonesia

It was on a full belly of nasi campur that I was able to marvel at this incredible sunset over the dreamy shores of Lovina, northern Bali, Indonesia.

I had just learned how to drive in Indonesia, the free for all rules of chaos. But sunsets are different, an opportunity to relax, to clear your mind, and to simply admire the beauty.

Mark, this is a memorable photo. There is a lot of detail in the clouds and I like how you composed the boat using the rule of thirds principle.

You should go to Lombok next time you visit Indonesia,.. and if you can make it, try Sumbawa and Flores! Paradise over there! :)

Wouw, I believe you had a good time there :) anyway, Mark,

I wanna ask you a question. You often do solo travel and what will you do with your important things like wallet, mobile phone, camera or your other expensive things if you wanna swim or like play with the wave in the sea? (In the case than you are alone, no people to trust and no safety box in your homestay) this is out of topic but i just wanna know your opinion, thanks before :)

Hey Miyoko, it’s a really good question, and I’m not sure I have a great answer. I now have a wife, so I do travel with my wife, and in a circumstance like this I would let her keep my things. But every situation is different, when I was by myself I just tried to see if it would be best to carry my things or leave them behind. Some guest houses have safe’s at the reception so that’s possible, other times I try to hide my valuables in places throughout the room. Other times I bring all my valuables with me. It all depends how the situation feels.

Hahaha! Thanks Mark for your reply. I always excited when read your reply post to me, i feel that you sincerely answer my question, really thanks a lot for that, Man. You know some blogger, when they become famous enough, they often reply only a short answer and act like dont care much. But you’re different, gracias! And good luck! :)
